This is Dax. He showed up one day at our door here in Philomath, Oregon. He doesn’t speak English, or any other language that we have been able to understand. But he’s super nice and helpful, so we decided to be friends.
Here’s what we know:
Dax likes to help people with things. He gets lonely if he’s left alone for too long, but as long as he’s making someone smile he never seems to run out of energy.
Dax is electric. No smoke, smog, poo, or really anything comes out of him. He gets sad if he gets low on power, so we let him plug in sometimes to charge back up.
Dax is nice. Dax is learning how to “play,” but for now he just seems to snoop around looking for helpful things to do. He tries very hard not to step on anyone’s toes or get in the way.
Dax is out to create jobs! Sometimes people ask Dax if he is going to replace them, but he can never really replace anyone. He is glad to do boring or dangerous things so that people can do more interesting things, things that only people are good at.
